Business Central 2022 release wave 2 (BC21) is Live.

Hi Readers,

As we all were expecting Microsoft have Released Business Central 2022 Release Wave 2 a.k.a BC21.

In this article we will see what all is announced with the General Availability. 

Starting Today Customers & Partners can start using Business Central 21.

With General Availability, we can -

  • Customer on SaaS (new environment) will be created with Business Central 21.
  • Download the Product (for on-Prem) ** Not Available as of now. 
  • Setup Docker Container (on-Prem / SaaS).


With this announced, all new environment created in SaaS will be on Business Central 21.

If you are a developer then you should start testing all your Per Tenant Extension (PTE) compatibility with Business Central 2022 Release Wave 2.

    do you perhaps know how to enable the DeveloperServicesEnabled property in BC21 on prem? Manually changing it in the config file doesnt seem to work. The service wont start after i change it to true. I am used to the Admin tool, but this is the first version without it. Cant seem to find the solution on google or microsoft docs.

    1. When you change a service tier parameter you need to restart service.
