MSDYN35BC 2019 Wave 2 - How to Create New Web Client Instance?

Hi Readers,

In this article, we will discuss how we can create a New Web Server Instance for Business Central 2019 Wave 2.

The only way to do it is via Powershell.

For this article, lets support I need to create a new Web Server Instance for my blog service that I created in the previous article and I want to name web server instance same as my service name.

Let's see steps to create a new web service instance.

1. Open Powershell as administrator.

2. Import-Module for Business Central Wave 2 and refresh command panel on the right.
Import-Module 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central\150\Service\NavAdminTool.ps1'

3. Search and use cmdlet New-NAVWebServerInstance to create a new web service instance and specify Parameter as listed above.

New-NAVWebServerInstance -Server localhost -ServerInstance BC150Blog -WebServerInstance BC150Blog -AddFirewallException -ClientServicesCredentialType Windows -ClientServicesPort 15051 -ManagementServicesPort 15050 -SiteDeploymentType SubSite

** You can specify other parameters if required.
** Port used in this cmdlet are the same that we used while creating service in the last article.

4. Execute the Powershell Command.

5. Run the web client with new URL - http://localhost:8080/BC150Blog/
