Hi All,
Those who are working in NAV 2015 might know a new and cool feature that came up for Programmers.
NAV 2015 Suggest the Variable Names When we create a New Variable in Navision Objects.
Below is a sample of how NAV 2015 does that.
I start with Creating a New Codeunit and went to Global variables and Started Creating Variables without Providing any Variable Name of Type - Record 32 as shown below -
As soon as i put my pointer on Next Line, Navision automatically suggest me the Name that variable as shown below -
In the same way i created a variable of Type Report, Codeunit, Page, XmlPort & Query as shown below.
When i Specify the Object No, below is what NAV automatically suggest the variable name.
So what you feel after reading this article? There are two thoughts that i can assume -
a) OK so navision start suggesting that it means some of our task have been reduced. (WRONG)
b) Great to hear it, now NAV suggest what are the Standard NAV Naming conventions and that will help us to follow standard coding guidelines. (CORRECT)
Those who still don't know what are standard NAV Coding Guidelines do refer the article here.

Saurav Dhyani
