RTC Report - Formatting Boolean Values as Check Mark and X Mark.

Hi All,

This post only show steps about how to Format Boolean Values in RTC Reports.

If you don't know this, then please go ahead.

I received a query to put a check mark or X mark for a Boolean field in Navision RTC Report.

Let's see how we can achieve it.

I will be creating a new report based on Item Table as below is the data set.

Open Report Layout on Visual Studio or Report Builder. create a table and assign all three fields in table body as shown below.

Save and Run the Report, Output will look like something as shown below.

Let's Design the Report to Change True/False to Check Mark/X Respectively.

1. Select Text Box under Body for Blocked and Cost IS Adjusted and change the Font to Webdings as shown below.

2. Go To Expression of Blocked and Cost is Adjusted Field and change it as Below -

Blocked
=IIF(Fields!Blocked.Value=true,"a","r")

Cost Is Adjusted
=IIF(Fields!Cost_Adusted.Value=true,"a","r")

Save the Report and Run the Report Again. Below is the old and New Output.

So that was simple, we just need to identify the font that will convert the charter to symbol.

If you still have issues download the objects from SkyDrive.
