NAV 2013 R2 - Multi-Tenancy Run Objects from Developer Environment.

Hi all,

As we discussed in earlier post about Multi-Tenancy, we are facing some issues after implementing the same.

One of the issue was discussed in earlier post. In this post we will see a common error message after Multi-Tenancy i.e "I cannot run the object from Object Designer after implementing Multi-Tenancy".



Issue -

After implementing MultiTenancy, if i try to run an object from object designer it shows me an error message saying "A tenant was not specified, but is needed because the system has multiple tenants. Contact your system administrator."



If we see the Database information it still points to the Base URL of RTC i.e



Where do i specify my Tenant for which i want to run the object?


Resolution -

1) Microsoft have provided the option to specify the Tenant in Tools Tab under Options.

Just specify the Tenant ID and you are good to go, as shown below -



After specifying the Tenant ID there and saving the information we will be able to run objects from object designer.

RTC Report It is not possible to instantiate the Visual Studio bridge.

Hi all, As a Navision developers I have Multiple Versions of Navision running in single Machine. As discussed Earlier in the post how to run multiple Version of RTC in single machine. So my machine have following details for RTC Versions - NAV 2009 R2    - is installed. NAV 2009 SP1  - is copied at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\NAV 6.0 SP1 IN\ NAV 2009         - is copied at C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\60\NAV 6.0 IN\ This approach has been working great for execution of Classic and RTC Clients.
