NAV RTC - Get Data From Navision in a External Application using Web Services - Part III

Hi all,

If you plan the download the application as per the last post, then follow these steps for work that application.

Import the objects into navision Database. If you required to assign a new number to the Codeunit then use the Text File.

Create Web Service as discussed in Post 1.

The only thing that need to be changed is the web service reference.

For the Demo i have created the New Instance at 9046 and below are the steps how to change the Web Service URL in Application.

1. Open the Visual studio application.

2. From Solution explorer Click on Get Inventory web Reference as Shown below.



3. Copy the URL form the web services page in Navision.

4. Navigate the Properties of GetInventory Web Reference and change the web Reference URL.

5. At the Status Bar it will display the web Refrence Update Status.


6. Once update succesfully run the application from the Debug Menu.


And you are good to go.
