Microsoft Dynamics NAV 7 / 2013 Web Client


Hi all,

Please make sure that u have installed Web client from the DVD web Client folder but it will not work by installing that way.

Let’s see the steps how to install web client.

      1) Please make sure that these components have been installed in your windows OS.

For same go to Control Panel, Program and Features. Click from the left hand side Turn Windows features on or off.


Now from the image below make sure that whatever is highlighted under green is checked (installed) in your system.


      2)      If Not then select these features and click ok, windows will install them.
      3)      Now go to DVD and run the setup again and select Add or remove component.

      4)  Select the NAV Web Server Component and click Run From my Computer. (Don’t be some fast that   
           you   also select share point we need something else before installing share point client.)


       5)      And select Next.

       6)      In Next window click apply and if everything is ok in your system it will start the web client home page    
             on your default browser as shown below.




       7) It automatically hosts your application on IIS. For viewing details go to search and type IIS and click
           ok.



      Know issue faced after installation of Web client –

      Error 1 - Could not load type 'System.ServiceModel.Activation.HttpModule' from assembly 'System.ServiceModel, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"

      Resolution 1-

      1.       Stop Microsoft Dynamics Navision Server Service from services Panel.
      2.       Run Command Prompt as administrator.
      3.       Navigate to Dot Net Framework 4 Folder.
a.       (CD C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\)

      4.       Run commands.
a.       aspnet_regiis.exe –iru
b.      iisreset

      5.       Start the Microsoft Dynamics Navision Server Service from services Panel.
      6.       Browse http://localhost:8080.
  
      Error 2 - HTTP Error 500.21 - Internal Server Error Handler "PageHandlerFactory-Integrated" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list.

      Resolution 2-

      1.       Stop Microsoft Dynamics Navision Server Service from services Panel.
      2.       Run Command Prompt as administrator.
      3.       Navigate to Dot Net Framework 4 Folder.
a.       (CD C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\SetupCache\Client\)

      4.       Run commands.
a.       setup.exe /repair /x86 /x64 /ia64 /parameterfolder Client /q /norestart
b.      iisreset

      5.       First service might take time as it repairs the DotNet Framework.
      6.       Start the Microsoft Dynamics Navision Server Service from services Panel.
7.     Browse http://localhost:8080.
