Types Of Pages in NAV 2009 and Later...

Hi all,

I figured out that lot of us find issues while designing Pages. So I thought why not start writing about Pages.

Lets see different types of Pages in this Post and Later on in other posts we can discuss how to create them and transform them.

Different Types of Pages available in NAV 2009 and Later are -
1)   Card.
2)   List.
3)   RoleCenter.
4)   CardPart.
5)   ListPart.
6)   Document.
7)   Worksheet.
8)   ListPlus.
9)   ConfirmationDialog.
10) NavigatePage.

Card Type Page is Same as Card-Type Form.
Example of a Card Type Page -

List Type Page is Same as Tabular Type Form.
Example of a List Type Page-

Role center Page is the page which we see when we start Role Tailored Client.
Example of a Typical Role Center Page -

CardPart Page

A Card Part page is used in a FactBox on another page to view or edit additional fields associated with a selected entity in the page. The following illustration shows an example of using a Card Part page on a List page that displays sales orders. In the FactBox on the right, a CardPart page displays details about the customer that placed the selected sales order.

A Example of Card Part Page is -

ListPart Page List Part Page is same as List Page. Similar to a List page, a List Part page displays content from a table in a list format. The difference is that you use the List part page as another page in a FactBox or as a part of the Role Center page. The following illustration shows a List Part page that is used in the Role Center for showing a list of the user's customers.
An Example of List Part Page is -

Document Page
A Document Page usually consists of two separate pages combined into one, with one page nested in the other. A Document Page is suitable for use when you want to display data from two tables that are linked together. This is the case, for example, with sales orders, which have two source tables: Sales Header and Sales Lines.

An Example of Document Type Page is -

Worksheet Worksheet page type for creating worksheet or journal task pages. The Worksheet page consists of a single grid in the content area and a section at the bottom with details about the selected grid line or totals for the grid.

An Example of Worksheet Type Page is -

ListPlus
A ListPlus Page is Like a Card Page having multiple Tabs.

An Example of List Plus Page is -

ConfirmationDialog
A Confirmation Dialog Page is a page which ask for user for Yes or NO. we can see a confirmation dialog page while selecting a customer in the sales order, and the customer credit limit is checked.
An Example of Conformation Dialog Page is -

NavigatePage
A Navigate Page is used for navigation of Document Page. we use these type of page while navigating the posted entries.

An Example of Navigate Page is -
